ESPN X Games Snowboarding for Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2)
ESPN X Games Snowboarding will have armchair snowboarders catching massive air time while ripping through action-packed slopes and snowed-over mountainous terrain! Based on the popular ESPN Winter X Games event, the game combines accurate ESPN broadcasts with realistic commentary and customized or traditional (televised) camera angles. Along with custom-made boarders, Konami has licensed a wealth of high-profile ESPN Winter X Games gold medallists and legendary riders of snowboarding's past. Before taking your character on the slopes, you'll want to equip him or her with gear -- choose from different costumes, authentic boards, and other snowboarding apparel! Coming directly from the real-life competition are the Big Air, Boarder Cross, Halfpipe, and Slopestyle events. Played with up to four players or against computerized-AI, the aptly named Big Air competition will have you vying for ultimate hang times. The Halfpipe is a heated points-based event that emphasizes showboating and trickery skills. Additionally, ESPN X Games Snowboarding features options that allow the player to traverse through customized terrain or to engage in a Freeride mode. The Freeride mode incorporates non-linear snowboarding gameplay that lets you go wherever you want; you can create your own paths across the steep hills and cruisers! There's also a Head-to-Head option that allows you and a friend to race anywhere on the mountain. It's time to show that good-for-nothing braggart of a friend who's boss! ESPN X Games Snowboarding also features a big-named soundtrack that offers customization options according to your riding style. Grab your snowboard and get ready to catch some serious air in Konami's extreme snowboarding extravaganza!
